Who runs Liftwire

NerdCow is the UK company that builds and runs Liftwire. Visit the NerdCow website.

Where it came from

Liftwire came out of NerdCow's own conversion pipeline. That pipeline reads a client site's analytics and search data on a weekly schedule and writes change proposals, which a person reviews in Basecamp before anything reaches the client. Liftwire takes the same work and hands it to your coding agent: the audit, the plan, the check once the change is live and the measurement afterwards.

NerdCow's newsletter, Webabunga, broke down one SaaS website per episode. The brands it covered were the first sites in the corpus Liftwire learns from. How the corpus is chosen.

What you can check

No logos and no testimonials. These pages say how the product works and where it stands, and the numbers on them are read from the code or the database rather than typed in.

  • How detection works: capture, detectors, two-pass annotation, the corpus and its sources
  • Measurement: which metrics, which windows, and what a before and after cannot tell you
  • Library status: where the tactic library stands against its bars, read live
  • Roadmap: what is decided against, undecided and committed
  • Changelog: every release that changes a tool, a grade rule, a threshold or a data policy
  • Takedown: how a site owner removes their site from the corpus
