# Remove Facebook login option from checkout flow

**Evidence grade: Tested.** Outside evidence supports it: a published experiment, or customer sites where verify_change found the change live long enough ago to count as kept.

Observed on 3 corpus sites. Page types: signup.

## Why it works

Despite the assumption that streamlining checkout with social login reduces friction, testing showed that removing Facebook login actually improved conversions. The presence of the social login option may have introduced uncertainty or privacy concerns that deterred purchases.
