## What counts as usage

- Page audits started by `audit_page` and `audit_site` count against the plan's monthly audits. Every audit response includes a `usage` block (`audits_used`, `audits_limit`, `period_end`), so your agent can see what is left.
- Starting the same audit again within 24 hours reuses the first result instead of starting new work, unless the agent passes `force: true`.
- Reads do not count: `get_audit`, `recommend`, `search_tactics`, `get_tactic`, `get_examples`, `site_memory`, `get_outcomes`.

When the audits for the period are used up, audit tools return the error code `monthly_audit_limit` and the agent should tell you rather than retry. Until billing periods apply, usage is counted per calendar month (UTC). On Pro and Agency, overage will be billed per audit once online billing is live; until then the monthly limit applies.

## Sites

Each plan has a site limit (see the table). Auditing a site beyond it returns the error code `site_limit`.

## Free plan

The free plan returns at most 2 examples per tactic and leaves copy patterns out of `get_tactic` and `recommend`; responses carry an `upgrade_hint` saying so.

## Rate limits and sizes

- Requests are rate-limited per API key; over the limit the server answers HTTP 429 with a `Retry-After` header.
- Request bodies are capped at 64 KB.
- Audit summaries are capped (15 present tactics, 15 missing, 20 sections, with an `omitted` count); ask `get_audit` for `detail: "full"` to see everything.
- Example image links are signed and expire after 15 minutes. Call `get_examples` again for fresh ones.

## Pages we will audit

Public `http` and `https` pages only: no credentials in the URL, no localhost, private or internal addresses. We respect robots rules for the tactic corpus. Read the [acceptable use policy](/acceptable-use) before pointing the tools at a site you do not run.
